Meet Shayna Keshian: The New President of Friends of Titus Sparrow Park

We’re excited to introduce Shayna Keshian as the new President of the Friends of Titus Sparrow Park (FTSP)! Shayna moved to the South End two years ago and joined the board last May. Since then, she’s brought fresh energy and ideas to FTSP, even while the park was undergoing renovations.

While the grass grew and the courts got a facelift, Shayna helped strengthen our digital presence by revamping our social media and email newsletters to keep the community informed and connected. She also heads our Events and Marketing committees, leading our many events and building the Friends of Titus Sparrow Park brand.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our former President, Sarah Moser, for her years of dedication and leadership. We’re so grateful Sarah will continue to serve on the board.

Under the leadership of our new Board Chair, Cara Sipprelle, we’ve also reorganized the board into focused committees to help us work more efficiently and better serve the community. We also rebranded Friends of Titus Sparrow Park and launched a new website — unveiling our new look just in time for the big reopening celebration last fall.

Now that the park is fully open, we’re more committed than ever to our mission: bringing neighbors together through free community events. Because this isn’t just a park — it’s our backyard. It’s where kids take their first steps, where friends meet, and where WNBA and NBA careers begin. We’re honored to carry on the legacy of Titus Sparrow, prominent tennis player and local advocate, who cared deeply for the South End community.

So what’s next? We’re kicking off our beloved Summer Concert Series next week and have many more events on the way that aim to connect and celebrate our diverse neighborhood.
