Titus Sparrow Park Summer Concert Series: Magen Tracy & the Missed Connections (Alternative Country)

Every Wednesday evening from June to August, neighbors gather on the lawn to enjoy free live music, family-friendly activities, and a vibrant community atmosphere. Check out the event details below! Pre-show activities start at 5:30pm and music starts at 6:15pm.

About the Artist

With a catalog that ranges from pop effervescence to alt-country grit—with plenty of rock in between—Magen Tracy & the Missed Connections are a Boston-area favorite known for earworm melodies, sharp lyrical play, and high-energy live shows, opening for such acts as Lydia Loveless, Lily Hiatt, and Julianna Hatfield.

Led by songwriter Tracy, a three-time Boston Music Award nominee, the band’s piano-driven songs, tight harmonies, and feminist edge take inspiration from acts like Jenny Lewis and Fleetwood Mac—all backed by a top-notch band that includes Stud Green on violin and guitar, Tamora Gooding on drums, Mike Oram on guitar, and Sam Spencer on bass. Their latest single, "At My Age" has garnered rave reviews as a "perfect nugget of a rock song...and a mighty act of defiance" (Boston Herald) and a "heavy hitter on the matter of women’s reproductive rights" (Americana Highways).

Pre-Show Activity at 5:30 PM: Boston Music Project Instrument Petting Zoo

Join the Boston Music Project for a kid-friendly Instrument Petting Zoo before the concert. Children of all ages can explore real musical instruments with guidance from experienced teaching artists. Come early and let the kids discover their inner musician!

Bring a Blanket & Picnic!

The lawn fills up quickly—bring a blanket or chair, grab takeout from one of the many great local restaurants nearby, and settle in for an evening of live music.
