Titus Sparrow Park Summer Concert Series: Akrobatik (Indie Rap/Hip Hop)

Every Wednesday evening from June to August, neighbors gather on the lawn to enjoy free live music, family-friendly activities, and a vibrant community atmosphere. Check out the event details below! Pre-show activities start at 5:30pm and music starts at 6:15pm.

About the Artist

Boston native Akrobatik (Jared Bridgeman) is a Hip-Hop artist who has achieved independent career longevity, having released his first project in 2000. His audience started locally at open mics and on college radio, but he would soon become an internationally known artist who now has a catalogue containing numerous underground classics of the genre.

The MC, radio personality, and voice artist is also a teacher, having spent over a decade teaching Hip-Hop History and culture at many educational levels and institutions, most recently UMass Boston. Akro is still active in his rap career, traveling around the US, UK, and Europe for performances as recently as 2025, and has a 2026 album release scheduled for late spring on Austria's Soulchain Records.

Pre-Show Activity at 5:30 PM: Boston Police Department’s ice cream truck

Enjoy a sweet treat and stop by and meet members of the Boston Police Department as they visit the park with their ice cream truck.

Pre-Show Activity at 5:30 PM: Boston Music Project Instrument Petting Zoo
