The Tennis court

TENNIS LESSONS in 2008

 The Friends of Titus Sparrow Park will again offer free tennis lessons at the tennis court on Tuesdays, June 17 through July 22, weather permitting. No registration required.

Balls provided for all classes. Tennis rackets provided for use for children's classes; some rackets available for use for adult class. All participants should wear tennis shoes or sneakers; no leather soles or sandals. Parents are encouraged to assist their children in the morning classes.
Class schedule is as follows:

Age 3 and novice age 4 - from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Age 4 alums and novice age 5 - from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Age 5 alums and age 6 - from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Ages 7 through 9 - from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Ages 10 through 12 - from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Adults and older outh - from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Court Rules:


  1. Court is open from 8:00am to 9:00pm for tennis play only.
  2. With respect for neighbors, please keep noise to a minimum.
  3. No pets on court at any time.
  4. Help keep the court clean. Use the trash recepticals.
  5. Court time limited to one hour for practice or play.
  6. Classes with Parks Department Permits take priority.
