Concerts in the Park

Jazz and World Music
at Titus Sparrow Park

The 2009 Concert Series will begin on June 10th. Concerts are weekly through mid August. Join us on Wednesday evenings at the grassy meadow amphitheater lawn at Titus Sparrow Park.

Performances begin at 6:30 p.m. and consist of two-forty minute sets of live music with a short break in between.

Blankets and low beach chairs welcome.

Cancellations due to weather will be posted on the website by 1:30pm on the day of the concert.

June 10 - Can Kickers, old time riot music for dancing
June 17 - Boubacar Diabate with Sambalolo, West African singer, guitarist, and storyteller
June 24 - Paulo Stagnaro with La Timbistica and Eleonora Bianchini, Latin jazz band with Italian vocalist
July 1 - PanNeubean Steel, relaxing reggae, calypso, and soul steeldrum rhythms
July 8 - Trouz Bras, Breton dance music, featuring bagpipes
July 15 - The Bagboys, bluegrass and western swing
July 22 - Sticky Skillet Swing Orchestera, jazz musicians performing classic swing
July 29 - Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers, dynamic fiddle music
Aug 5 - Revolutionary Snake Ensemble, a costumed funk/steel beat improvisational New Orleans brass band, plus a hoop show by the Boston Hoop Troop during intermission.
Aug 12 - Boston City Lights Dance Troupe and DJ, Hip Hop, a dance class taught by Megatron, followed by a performance! This is a special interactive show for the older kids in the neighborhood.
